TORONTO STREET SCAN
It has been a long and quiet winter for the Midnight Runners in Toronto. Last year you could have seen a high energy group, 80 strong, doing burpees in the snow. This year, things have been a bit different. Since mid November, the city has been under strict covid regulations and the crew has been unable to do group runs. In order to Spice things up again, the crew has cooked up a plan to hit the streets again, at a distance.
The StreetScan Challenge is “ a QR code trail of breadcrumbs”
This running challenge is a QR code trail of breadcrumbs. Each QR code leads to the next location to slowly unveil a ~10km route downtown Toronto. At each location, there is a new QR code along with a part of a riddle.
At each stop, the runners collect a puzzle piece in order to solve the riddle.
HOW IT WORKS
- Scan the starting QR code to receive the google maps pinpoint of the next code
- Run to the next pinpoint. Collect the clue/puzzle piece.
- Scan and repeat until you collect the entire riddle.
- Solve the Riddle
Run, jog, walk, crawl or RACE it.
The StreetScan Challenge starts at Nathan Philips Square and can be completed at any time this long weekend ( Feb 13th-15th). Run, jog, walk, crawl or RACE it.
